Charlie had struggled with anxiety for a long time, in part because he burned out from working in a high-profile position in Silicon Valley. After experimenting with many methods for managing his feelings of unease, he developed a philosophy of play and started applying it to every facet of his life. Within a single month, all of the symptoms of Charlie’s anxiety began to diminish. It felt like a miracle, and one that he should share with as many people as possible! 

So, he posted about his experience and it went viral. It turned out that Charlie’s perspective and advice were needed by millions of people across the world. He was able to become a professional speaker on the topic, and wrote several books including Played Away and Play For a Living. He tried offering courses, individual and group coaching, even masterminds. Yet, he couldn’t turn any of those into a reliable source of revenue.

This was even more frustrating and baffling since Charlie was being asked to speak at organizations like the Pentagon, Stanford, and Microsoft. Even though he had access to prestigious clients, Charlie didn’t dare to charge a premium. In fact, he gave most of his presentations for free.

All that changed when Charlie met Kathryn.
